Cushla's Village Fabrics - Patchwork & Quilting Classes

At Cushla's we want you to get the most out of your patchworking and quilting, so we offer a range of classes to help you along. Our classroom facilities are great, and it will be a pleasure to see you there.

Class Policy: Bookings for classes need payment of class fee. We cannot offer refunds on classes confirmed.
Classes are held at both our Devonport and Waihi shops.

	Janome Club: Thursday 22nd March, 10am - 12 noon & 1pm - 3pm. Learn more about your machine and make a small project. You need to be registered for this class it is hands on. Class Cost: $10.00 + kit fee when kits are used. Registrations are necessary. This is a great service we provide to support our Janome dealership.
	Beginners with a difference: Thursday or Saturdays - we need some feedback. Come along and learn how to cut and piece correctly to start your quilting journey on the right track. You will be able to choose from several quilts in store which are exciting and interesting and achievable. Scatter Sunshine or Martinique.
	New Anemones: Weekend Workshop 25th & 26th February with Mary Transom Come and learn Mary’s free motion, appliqué and embellishment techniques to achieve this stunning quilt. Sample is in our Waihi store. Bookings are now available. Class Cost: Tutors fee $110.00 for the two days - lunch provided.
	Quilt Show: Saturday 28th to Monday 30th at the Waihi Town Hall.
	Bag Making with Karen: Friday 9th March, 10.30am - 3.30pm. Come and join in the fun and make a funky bag from one of our new pattern designers. Learn how to’s when making a bag together with different types of fusing available to give a professional finish. Class Cost: $40.00 + materials.
	Shattered Nine Patch with Jeannie Balemi: Saturday 3rd March,10am - 3.30pm. Simple, fun and effective a quilt suitable for a beginner to achieve a great result in a day. All pieced. Class Cost: $65.00 + materials.
	Mixed Media Class using TAP paper: Weekend Workshop 30th & 31st March, 10am - 3.30pm. On different mediums – expressions of interest for classes in 2012, TAP paper for samples will be provided. Class Cost: $70.00 per day. .
	Addition and Subtraction with Anne Jolly: Not maths but fun layering fabrics. Come and spend a weekend with us and learn another fabulous technic to achieve the 3D effect. Suitable for all skill levels. 2 day workshop 28th/29th April 2012. Class Cost $110.00 + materials.
	Machine Quilting with Chris: Saturday workshop (date to be advised) 10am - 3.30pm. Learn how to easily start your quilting journey without it being too daunting. You will practice on a sample piece of fabric and a simple pieced block to get you into the swing of things. Class Cost $70.00.
	Heart Needle Case: Friday 20 April 10am - 3pm. Class Cost $40 + Kit. Come along and make this needle case for a gift or treat yourself, no sewing involved. Lunch will be provided.
	Mystery with the Difference with Jeannie: Saturday 5th May, 10am - 3.30pm. We are making an exciting new quilt called Mothers Day Out using a variety of techniques we just need to know your preferred colour option. Class Cost $65.00 + kitset tba.
	Ivy Twist Workshop with Glenys: Saturday date to be advised 9.30am - 3.30pm. Class Cost $45.00 if purchasing kitset, $65.00 for own fabrics (lunch provided). Learn the technique to make this gorgeous quilt. You will construct at least two of the blocks on the day you will be able to go home and make further blocks at your leisure. This quilt can be made from a variety of fabric combinations. We can help you choose your particular combination a kitset will be available with similar fabrics shown in the sample. If not purchasing the kitset notes will be given on the techniques.
